What is the objective of the school?

Our key objectives are to equip the believer for every good work and to train and disciple nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom; transforming minds and enlarging territories to fulfill Jesus’ prayer, “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.”

As you heed the Kingdom call, The Disciple School of Ministry has been equipped with indispensable tools that will endow the newborn believer and the established believer alike.
We are establishing stand alone Colleges throughout KZN, Multi-lingual, non denominational and throughout Southern Africa. Through our Talk Show we are expecting God to open doors all across the African continent.

What qualifications are available?

What accreditation is available for the multi-lingual curriculum?

We are accredited with the Covenant Theological Seminary, Christian Leadership Seminary & Vision Intl Univ in USA & Australia 

Why should I register early?

This will enable us to confirm student numbers in various locations and prepare to open satellite campuses in different areas. With this information, we could be opening a school in your area too! We encourage early registrations because it avoids delays and unforeseen challenges.

Does the registration and monthly fees cover ALL costs including material and tuition?

Yes it does include all costs.

How often am I required to attend lectures?

You are required to attend lectures once a week for two hours

What happens if I miss a lecture?

If a student for whatever reason is unable to attend a lecture, then there are many options. All lectures are recorded and available online to view at any time.

When does the school year end?

First year ends in 12 months. Can finish earlier.

When is graduation?

Once a year.

How can one curriculum be used for different denominations?

Ministers, leaders, men of God are free to review material and content, and in the event they feel there is something that does not align with their ministry, denomination or vision they should bring it to my attention. We will gladly replace any module with something more suited from our vast library collection of teachings. 

Can students from different colleges, institutions or countries transfer to the Disciple School of Ministry?

Yes Absolutely! We will credit on a like by like basis and the accreditation of the qualification that is being transferred  

How are you able to present this degree in multiple languages? How will that work?

Multi-lingual students have 2 options. Listen to lectures in English or preferred language. The assignments, study material and exams will be in their selected language. Its that simple! This curriculum is available in 75 different languages and here in Southern Africa we also have in available in Bemba, Shona and Portugese. These allow us to plant schools in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi and Angola 

Can people with disabilities enrol?

Absolutely! Illiterate and people with certain disabilities are encouraged to contact us. We serve a God of impossibilities. If it Is your desire to know God Word then I don’t see any reason why you cannot.

ONLINE STUDY & FLEXIBLE LEARNING

Can I study online?

Yes. Most of our programs can be completed entirely online through our centralized digital campus.

How does the program work? (Format, duration, etc.)

Classes are typically held once a week for about 3 hours. The program emphasizes multimedia video teachings combined with local facilitation, module guides, assignments and exams. Students can progress at a pace that fits their schedule, with options for in-person or online platforms.

How do online classes work?

Students access video lectures, audio, comprehensive study notes, assignments, interactive quizzes, and module assessments directly through the online learning portal. Once a week students meet online with their classmates and facilitators.

Can I study from another country?

Yes. DSOM features global accessibility, supporting active students and training sites across many nations worldwide.

Can I study while working full-time?

Absolutely. Our flexible learning model is specifically designed to accommodate busy schedules, professions, and active ministry commitments.

Are classes live or pre-recorded?

Our weekly classes are live. Our programs utilize a highly flexible hybrid model combining recorded content, downloadable online learning materials, self-paced study modules, and direct facilitator interaction. If you miss a class, all classes are recorded and you will be able to access your missed class and catch up on your work.

How much time should I dedicate weekly?

Most students comfortably balance their workload by dedicating between 3 to 6 hours per week to their studies.

Can I study using my phone?

Yes. The online student portal is fully responsive and optimized for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.

How long does the registration process take?

Most standard registrations are evaluated and processed by our administration team within 2 business days once all required documents are successfully submitted.

Can I start my classes immediately?

Yes. We also allow student enrollments at the start, mid-term and the end of each semester which allows students to enrol throughout the year at their convenience. Many of our self-paced programs allow students to begin learning almost immediately once registration approval and payment verifications are finalized.

What if I forgot my student portal password?

Simply navigate to the login page and click the “Forgot Password” link to initiate an automated secure reset via your registered email address. Alternatively you can log a support query with me.

Can I register on behalf of someone else?

Yes. Parents, senior pastors, church administrators, and marketplace employers frequently assist students or church cohorts with the registration process.

What payment methods do you accept?

We securely accept Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT), direct debit/credit cards, and primary online payment gateways depending on your geographic location.

Are scholarships available?

Sponsorships, financial aid allowances, or partial scholarships may be made available from time to time based on institutional funding allocations.

Can local churches sponsor their members?

Yes. We strongly encourage local churches to sponsor emerging leaders, staff, and members through DSOM training pathways.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?

RPL is a formal assessment pathway that evaluates an individual’s previous unaccredited theological studies, years of practical ministry experience, leadership training, or relevant marketplace experience to grant advanced standing or direct bridging into advanced qualifications. Credit Transfer / Bridging from Another Program

I studied another program — will I be able to bridge into one of your degrees?

Yes, DSOM supports bridging and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

  • You can bridge into the Diploma in Biblical Studies or Degree in Ministry programs using credits or prior studies.
  • There is a dedicated “Bridging into Diploma or Degree” option (one-time fee of R 1,670) and a “Transfer of Credits Pathway”.
  • Pastors and experienced leaders can especially benefit from RPL to fast-track entry. The Practitioner Certificate for Christian Religious Leaders also offers full RPL into the Diploma and Degree programs.

Who qualifies to apply for the RPL pathway?

You are an ideal candidate for an RPL assessment if you possess:

  • Previous accredited Bible school certificates
  • More than 5 years full time ministry or church leadership experience
  • Established corporate business training or management experience
  • Professional qualifications and relevant certifications

What documents are required for an RPL assessment?

To build your portfolio of evidence, you typically need to provide:

  • Existing academic certificates, diplomas, or transcripts
  • A comprehensive ministry resume/CV detailing leadership roles (Request RPL Form)
  • Ordination certificates (if applicable)
  • Letters of reference from church oversight or professional peers

Can secular business professionals apply for RPL?

Yes. Relevant business qualifications, corporate management history, and executive experience can be evaluated for credit alignment in our leadership tracks.

Does applying for RPL guarantee exemptions?

No. Every RPL application is individually and rigorously assessed by our academic review committee against our curriculum standards to determine exact placement.

Yes. Students may seamlessly transfer their academic records between participating international DSOM locations or regional online jurisdictions.

What languages are the study materials available in?
